Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts impressive online audience

Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her professional golf debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous golf courses and often competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play competitive games," she mentioned.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in just three tournaments this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA listings.

However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He is the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, especially with youth audiences.

The social media influencer has substantial online presence and has started an exclusive fashion and living brand.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
